Therapy Sessions at Éiri OT (Home Visits)
Every child develops at their own pace. At Éiri OT, we provide home-based, play-filled therapy sessions designed to help children build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.
Our sessions are tailored to your child’s unique needs and strengths. By working in your child’s familiar environment, therapy feels comfortable, fun, and practical — making it easier for progress to carry over into daily life.
What Happens in a Therapy Session?
Sessions usually last 45–60 minutes.
They take place in your child’s home environment, where they are most at ease.
We use play, movement, and everyday activities to build skills naturally.
Parents are encouraged to be part of the process, with strategies shared for use at home and (if needed) at school.
Areas We Work On
Therapy sessions may include support with:
Fine motor skills – e.g. using cutlery, buttons, pencil grip
Gross motor skills – balance, coordination, ball skills
Handwriting – letter formation, spacing, speed, endurance
Sensory regulation – calming or alerting activities, sensory diets
Self-care & daily living skills – dressing, feeding, toileting, routines
Attention & executive functioning – focus, organisation, following instructions
Social participation & play skills – building confidence with peers
Emotional regulation – strategies for children experiencing anxiety or frustration
